The newest addition to the Invercargill skyline was officially opened yesterday.

Crown Sheetmetal's $2 million, 23m-high expansion would allow the company to work more efficiently and consolidate its position, NDA Group manager and acting chief executive Gary Mollard said.
With new cranes in place the company could lift weights of up to 60 tonnes 19m off the ground meaning it could more efficiently build the large tanks demanded by the wine and dairy industries.
"Against a background of global recession and tough times around the world the NDA Group is achieving record profitability and has a forward order book as strong as it's been," Mr Mollard said.
The opening of the extension was about two months behind schedule as construction was halted in September last year after petroleum hydrocarbons from the Invercargill City Council gasworks that used the site 40 years ago were found in the soil.
Concrete was laid over the area before Environmental Southland gave the company the go-ahead to resume construction.
